Aigilas Dev Weekly 9
Ground has broken on improving user experience. I leveraged libgdx’s scene2d library to redesign the main menu of Aigilas. It is now both mouse and keyboard enabled. This is a first step towards polishing the lan multiplayer experience.
Right now, a server needs to be running before any client starts. The new goal works as most players would expect. Anyone can be on the game’s main menu. From there, one player on the LAN selects an option to host a multiplayer game. Clients may or may not have been waiting to connect at the host’s IP at this point. Once any connected player gives the green light the game should begin.
