This week I began a redesign of the SPS website. The graphical work is all finished and I am wrapping up the backend to handle purchases of Aigilas. I am using FastSpring to handle payment processing, but their file hosting restrictions don’t fit well with the culture I want to curate. Instead, I am implementing the following to ease updates for paying customers.

  1. A customer buys the game
  2. They are sent a serial number
  3. They register online and provide that serial number
  4. This is used when they launch the game to ensure it stays up to date

The backend should be wrapped up by the end of the day. After that I will get the ball rolling on launching the new site and store.
